Trust Dr. David Wyse for Excellent Care

Hi, I'm David Wyse, partner at Chrisman and Wyse Dental. I'm a native of Bloomington and attended University of Florida for my undergrad degree and the University of Illinois in Chicago for my dental degree. I came back to Bloomington because I love the community and the people. I've served as the team dentist for our local professional hockey team and I'm a commissioner on a local social service agency that provides dental care to the indigent population. I chose the dental profession because of the impact that it had on my own life. Growing up I had dental needs and misaligned teeth, and through excellent dental care in my lifetime I feel that it has made a difference in my life. I can sympathize with patients that perhaps have misaligned teeth and are uncomfortable with their smile, and it's rewarding to work with our patients and give them the best smile that they can have as well. My philosophy is to treat each patient as I would treat my own family member, so with compassion and caring as if I was treating my mother. Dentistry is so rewarding. It feels so good to have the ability to make transformations in people's lives and make an impact on someone's life. It can be something as simple as a chipped front tooth where a person maybe in their social life won't smile, but they come in and it's a simple little repair and it can make a big difference in their life. There are a lot of people that have dental anxiety and are scared to walk in the door, but I feel we have a very caring staff, and very shortly thereafter patients are very comfortable coming here. Joining the practice 18 years ago was a thrill. I'm very proud of my partnership with Dr. Jay Chrisman. He's been a wonderful mentor and I've learned a lot from my partnership with Dr. Jay. I love my patients and I love the ability to impact positively their lives.
